Despite the fact that streaming services are nothing new, their popularity only seems to be getting bigger. Watching your favorite series has been made extremely easy due to on-demand viewing. There is no need to worry about whether you will be able to catch your beloved show on TV. Thanks to Hulu, you could watch it whenever you like. If, however, you want to try something new, here is a list of the best shows they offer, just pick one, or more!
Atlanta
You’ve probably heard about Donald Glover a.k.a Childish Gambino. But did you know that besides rapping he is blessed with an amazing showmaking talent? That’s right, he is the man behind Atlanta, one of the most entertaining comedy-dramas you can find on here. The show follows Earn, a college dropout who is struggling, and whose sleeping place is his on/off girlfriend’s place.
Not being able to provide money for his girlfriend’s child, he suddenly becomes his cousin Alfred’s manager. Alfred has a dream of becoming a rapper with the stage name Paper Boi. Most of the episodes are shot like short films, and they don’t have a standard format. Donald’s clever experimenting with storytelling will certainly keep you wanting more.
Rick and Morty
It seems highly unlikely that some animated show will cause as many people to go crazy over it in the same way that Rick and Morty did. That’s why it certainly deserves to be on your watch list. Two guys were creators of one of the best-animated comedies in the past decade. This show follows the adventures of Rick who is a cynical scientist and a madman, and his grandson Morty who is kindhearted but also fretful at the same time.
Morty assists his grandfather with various dangerous missions and schemes while traveling through space and time. Just like Morty, you will also get lost in this amazing world. This series is filled with clever humor, satire, and cynism, and has taken over the world after just a few episodes of the first season, so what better reason to start watching it.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
This age-defying show released in the 90s has a little bit of everything to keep you entertained. It is not just a horror show, it also has elements of fantasy and a pinch of humor to spice everything up. Monsters and humor, sounds good, huh? Buffy Summers is a teenager who is getting ready to start going to school after she moved to a new town of Sunnydale in California. The town looks perfect if you can turn a blind eye to monsters, vampires, demons and various creatures who also inhabit it.
It seems like Buffy came to a bad place but it does not bother her because she is equipped with something to help her fight them all – she has superpowers. Together with her friends Xander and Willow and her mentor Giles, Buffy at the same time battles monsters and other creatures and tries to keep up with schoolwork. It could be argued that this show was among the smartest of its day using fantasy as metaphors for the pain of becoming mature.
